Biography : Born in Jeonju, Jeolla-bukdo, South Korea (Jan. 28, 1959).
Graduated from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, department of Japanese ; graduate school of the same university, department of Japanese Education.
Debuted as a writer in the literary magazine "The Creation of an Essay (ChangJakSupil)" in 1998, and then in the literary magazine "Literature in Education (Kyodanmunhak) in 1999.
She also writes song lyrics: The White Love-flowers, If I became an autumn breeze, My way, etc. Currently teaching at the Sorabol Boys High School in Seoul. Served on the editing committee of the magazine called "Education in Seoul" and as a researcher at the Seoul Scientific Educational Research Institute. and as a director of Literature in Education.
She is a director of the Seoul Teacher Literati Association, a member of the International Pen club in Korea, the Korean Society of Literati, the Korean society of Translators, and Korean Society of Song Writers. She takes an active part in many literary groups.
Characteristics of her poems: To find oneself through the mutual consensus of mother nature, and to turn anguish of life into delight of life through purifying the emotion. Animals and plants appear as symbolic words. They catch our eyes presenting original images as affirmative and hopeful objects. She analyzes many types of human nature using flowers and notes with sharp sensibility the inner truths which human beings are hiding. Her poetry is based on "poetics of experience." Awards : First Prize, given by the superintendent of educational affairs, Seoul City 1999. Awarded by the schoolmaster of Sorabol High School, 2000. In the area of literature, she was awarded three prizes: The Hwanghee Cultural Art Prize (2001, department of translation), Golden Mapae Culture Award (2001, department of poetry), and The Poetry Art Prize (2003, department of poetry).
